Roles and Access
Scheduling roles
Section titled “Scheduling roles”| Area | Roles | Primary-role priority |
|---|---|---|
| FOH | SERVER, HOST | SERVER before HOST |
| BOH | KITCHEN, DISHWASHER | KITCHEN before DISHWASHER |
A Staff member may hold multiple roles. Someone with both FOH and BOH roles may appear in both scheduling areas. Within one area, the primary role controls the default table section.
Management roles
Section titled “Management roles”MANAGER and SUPERVISOR provide access to management workflows. They do not determine FOH or BOH placement. A Manager or Supervisor needs a scheduling role as well to submit personal availability, view a personal Tip Level, or work a Staff scheduling assignment.
Training
Section titled “Training”TRAINING alone does not place a Staff member on the scheduling roster. Training status is attached to a specific scheduling role. Training assignments are marked (T) and do not replace regular staffing requirements.
Designated permissions
Section titled “Designated permissions”| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Tier Editor | View and update private role-specific Scheduling Tiers |
| Level Editor | Review Staff Tip Level details and update ratings |
| Manager Schedule access | Preview/import workbooks and edit current Manager entries |
If designated access is needed, discuss it with David first, then notify Anthony so the system access configuration can be updated.
System Administrator and permission-granting procedures are outside this manual.
