Availability cycle
The period in which Staff report Lunch and Dinner availability. The current standard cycle is 14 days.

Blackout period
A date range when new vacation requests are not accepted.

Draft
The private, mutable weekly Staff schedule being prepared by Management.

FOH / BOH
Front of House and Back of House scheduling areas.

Manager Schedule
A separate 28-day current-state schedule for Managers and Supervisors, combined with Staff schedules for public viewing.

Primary scheduling role
The role used to place a multi-role Staff member in a table section for an area.

Published snapshot
An immutable version of a Staff schedule. Staff see the snapshot currently selected as published.

Scheduling Tier
A private role-specific planning value from 1 to 3. An unset value is treated as neutral Tier 2 during automatic generation.

Service
Lunch or Dinner.

Tip Level
A role-based evaluation calculated from skill metrics and shared bonus metrics.

Training assignment
A role-specific training shift that does not count toward the regular staffing target.
